What is Data Licensing?

Shutterstock’s move into data licensing is about realizing that your creative work is valuable in more ways than one.

Back in 2021, they figured out that your photos and content could be used for training computer vision systems, bringing in more opportunities for you to earn.

Computer vision is like teaching computers to understand what’s in pictures.

It’s a whole science.

Shutterstock uses it for cool things like visual search tools, helping you find similar images, or doing a reverse search.
